How To Make Money With ClickBank – What You May Not Know

Learning how to make money with ClickBank is not always as easy as it may seem. Learning how to actually find the products that work and then be able to actually work toward driving traffic to offers that convert that traffic to sales is really the “holy grail” of being a successful affiliate marketer.

For those who aren’t familiar, ClickBank is an online marketplace and clearinghouse for vendors to sell their information products through affiliates. Who are the vendors? Anybody who has an “information” product like software, and ebook, etc to sell online. Who are affiliates? The people who will send traffic to the vendor’s “sell” page in an attempt to earn a commission off of the traffic that chooses to buy.

ClickBank is home to literally hundreds and hundreds of vendors who are attempting to find affiliates who will send traffic to their information product offering. ClickBank tries to help affiliates determine which products have the best chance of “converting” traffic by giving a series of metrics at the bottom of each vendor product offering. However, it is safe to say that the vast majority of products for sale on ClickBank do little or no sales. It is somewhat of the classic rule of sales, 20% of the vendors do 80% of the sales. This fact is easy to notice when someone on ClickBanks system bothers to search deeper then the first page of results that it’s internal search system comes up with. The problem becomes then, for the affiliate marketer who is looking to learn how to make money with ClickBank, is how to find a product, outside of going to the top 5 or 10 in each category, that will convert traffic. Let’s face it, if you are new to ClickBank and try and promote only the top sellers with the best “gravity”, you will be going against some of the most sophisticated marketers on the Internet, and may have a very difficult time making sales.

However, the key to this solution lies in the fact that ClickBanks’ internal search function that is used to find “hot” vendors is less than up to the task, and doesn’t always search by the most valid criteria. Hence, it ends up that most affiliates, both experienced and new, end up all chasing the top few products, thereby cannibalizing each others sales. What is often overlooked is that there are certain “sleeper” products on ClickBank that may not have the gaudiest sales numbers, but actually are hidden gold mines waiting for the right affiliate. What is needed is the right type of search tool and methodology.
